Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing position is located in Portage, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to medical and surgical patients, including those with COVID-19. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment requiring resilience, team collaboration, and confident clinical skills.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Schedule: 36 hours per week

- Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license (AHA or ARC certifications required), BLS, ACLS, at least 2 years of ICU and Med/Surg experience, travel experience preferred, associate degree or certificate
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Aspirus Stevens Point, Plover, and Riverview units
- Additional Information: The unit consists of 11 beds for COVID patients and additional beds for general surgical cases. The case mix includes joint replacements and other surgical procedures. Candidates must be hard workers, resilient, social, assertive, confident, and team players. Scrub colors are dark blue. The contract offers up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which may include on-call shifts that count toward these hours. Holiday rotations include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. During flu season, vaccination is mandatory; declination requires mask-wearing at all times.
