Job Summary:
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The role involves providing care in a 29-bed general Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a level 2 trauma center. The unit features advanced equipment and supports a variety of complex procedures, offering an engaging environment for experienced critical care professionals.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, ACLS, BLS; 1 year of nursing experience preferred; no specific location requirements listed
- Preferred Qualifications: TNCC, NIHSS, ABLS certifications are welcome
- Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers float first to Emergency Department and step down units
- Additional Information:
- Unit specifics include no Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), one telemetry technician, and extensive equipment such as Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, primaflex CRRT, and cardiohelp ECMO
- Procedures performed include intubations, central line placement, bronchs, bedside tracheostomy, and PEG tube placement
- Shift includes every other weekend work, with on-call only during census drops
- The unit supports a heart program with approximately 200 cases annually and has a recently opened burn center since April 2019
- Average ICU staff experience is 12 years
