Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Ventilator care and pressor titration experience required
• Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfort working in a high-acuity hospital setting with rapidly changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor hemodynamic status
• Administer medications and manage critical care therapies according to clinical standards
• Care for patients on ventilators and support vasopressor titration
• Assist with advanced interventions such as chest tubes, temporary pacing, IABP, and Impella support as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate safe, effective patient care
• Educate patients and families while supporting them through complex and urgent care needs
• Document accurately and maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care
