Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves floating between units, including Medical ICU and Surgical ICU, with responsibilities centered on patient care for adult and geriatric populations. The schedule is primarily night shifts, offering an opportunity to contribute to a high-acuity environment within a trauma level III facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in ICU, valid healthcare license (compact license acceptable), certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, no specific education degree requirement, located within 50 miles of the facility, and ability to work night shifts.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charting in Epic, community hospital exposure, and competence in central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, ventilator management, and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). RTO requests should be made upfront; late requests may not be granted. Prior experience at a Providence facility, as well as references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs), are required. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities, and refusal to float could lead to contract termination.
