Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• At least 1 year of experience in ICU nursing or a related critical care specialty
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to confidently care for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for ICU patients using the full nursing process
• Care for high-acuity patients, including those who are intubated, sedated, and requiring chest tube management
• Administer medications and treatments according to established critical care protocols
• Monitor patient status closely and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions
• Document patient history, assessments, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and timely
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient outcomes
