Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position available in a general healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care in a mixed ICU/Step Down unit with a diverse patient population requiring high-level monitoring and interventions. The position demands clinical expertise and the ability to manage complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/13/2026 and ending 12/12/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Licensure verification, professional profile, two professional references, resume, and a minimum of 0 years of experience in ICU nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICU patient populations, advanced monitoring, and ventilator management skills (if applicable).
- Float: Float rotation may be required to a sister unit to manage various patient acuity levels.
- Additional Information: The ICU handles patients with severe respiratory failure such as pneumonia, ARDS, COPD, or asthma exacerbations, often requiring mechanical ventilation or high-flow oxygen support. Patients may also present with sepsis, septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurologic conditions, complex metabolic disorders, or gastrointestinal and hepatic failure. Clinical responsibilities include continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, invasive line management, mechanical ventilation, titrated IV medications, enteral or parenteral nutrition, and frequent laboratory testing.
