Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), with responsibilities including monitoring and management of critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Management of CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and post cardiac surgery patients
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention care and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Valve Replacement/Repair, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, and advanced IV therapy
• CVA/Acute Stroke Management, lumbar drains, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care of ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula, and phlebotomy
• Ventilator management, infection prevention, and use of PPE

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience with EKG test passing score required
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic experience and CV ICU skills proficiency
• Ability to pass orientation and work weekends and holidays as needed
