- Required Qualifications: (Certification) Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas; BLS, ACLS; 2+ years MICU/Medical ICU experience; Education equivalent to RN degree; Ability to work night shifts; Valid Texas license required (temp licenses not accepted)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system and advanced ICU procedures
- Additional Information:
- Experience performing central line placements, bedside thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations is required
- Unit staff are assigned based on acuity and skill levels
- All ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitor are used in this unit
- Dress code includes royal blue scrubs; tattoos should be covered when feasible; body art and visible piercings (other than ears) are not permitted; hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
