Job Summary:
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) San Antonio, TX. This position involves providing specialized intensive care to critically ill patients in the surgical intensive care unit (SICU). The role requires delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to hospital protocols and maintaining professional standards.
Job Details:
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Unit: SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit)
- Classification: RN-ICU
- Shift Details: Nights, 12-hour shifts, from 7:00PM to 7:30AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:30AM; minimum of 36 hours weekly
- Duration: September 21, 2026, to December 21, 2026
- Number of Positions: 1-2
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas RN license, active BLS and ACLS certifications, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, strong critical thinking skills, experience with Meditech electronic health records, and documentation system.
- Preferred Qualifications: MICU & MSICU background, IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, and NIH Stroke Certification.
- Special Skills/Advanced Skills: Candidates with MICU & MSICU experience, IABP, and CRRT exposure will be prioritized.
- Procedures Performed: Chest tubes, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, dressing changes.
- Dress Code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket; neat hair and clean, healthy nails; body art covered; visible piercings limited to ears.
- Unit Policies: Badging in/out required, 30-minute lunch, punctuality strictly enforced.
- Additional Information: All travelers are required to float according to Methodist floating policy; maintain documentation and adherence to attendance policies.
