Hospice RN
Position: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hospice nursing experience
- Hospice experience may be in home hospice or inpatient hospice
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Current auto insurance
- Strong patient-care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and provide compassionate end-of-life care
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients
- Assess patient condition and manage symptoms
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Provide pain and symptom management
- Educate patients and families regarding hospice care
- Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary hospice team
- Monitor changes in patient condition and communicate updates appropriately
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Travel to patient homes when providing home hospice services
Must-Have Qualifications
3+ years of hospice experience, BLS, valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and active car insurance.
