We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Potsdam, New York. This role is a 12-hour night shift, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and includes a weekend requirement of every other weekend. The contract guarantees 36 hours per week. Candidates will work in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, providing care for a diverse range of patients, including those with multisystem organ dysfunction, traumatic brain injuries, and respiratory conditions. This position requires exceptional critical thinking and prioritization skills to manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. The assignment includes a 24-hour unit orientation to ensure a smooth transition. Systems used include EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management.
