Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in New York. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy emergency department environment, handling a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The position requires experienced healthcare professionals capable of managing critical cases and working collaboratively within a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 12:00 PM 12:00 AM (Evening shifts)
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active New York nursing license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department settings with some Pediatric experience, travel experience required. Valid drivers license with address matching demographics. Up-to-date resume documenting more than 2 years of ED experience and travel history.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge capability and rapid infusion devices such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 64 beds, including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and psychiatric units. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Equipment utilized includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. The position involves caring for patients of all ages: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
