Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) specialty in a hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients, within an Emergency Department unit that features 64 beds and various specialized areas. The position requires adaptability to float across different shifts and a focus on delivering critical care in fast-paced situations.
Job Details:
- Location: Emergency Department
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license, all active RN licenses, current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification in hand, drivers licenses with matching address, and an up-to-date resume documenting 2+ years of Emergency Department experience including PEDS experience and travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency care, high skill proficiency in patient diagnosis such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure.
- Additional Information: The unit manages common patient diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure, with specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Floating may be required. Scrub color is navy blue. The assignment starts on 09/13/2026 and concludes on 12/11/2026.
