Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 2 trauma center, serving a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role requires a committed professional capable of managing a wide range of emergency medical situations in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Lewiston, ME
  • Shift: Nights, 6:45 p.m. 7:15 a.m.
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); 2 years of emergency nursing experience; ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias; experience with ventilated patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CPI certification.
  • Additional Information: The position is at a Level 2 trauma center with four critical care bays and Teleneurology support for stroke in collaboration with a major hospital. The unit cares for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, including a broad spectrum of emergency cases. Equipment includes ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, and Care Aware handheld devices. The electronic health record systems used are Omnicell and Epic.
  • Position Requirements: The candidate must be capable of handling a non-trauma emergency department environment, interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, and ventilated patient care, with experience in a similar setting.
