Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in an acute care setting. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care during night shifts, with responsibilities including triage, patient assessment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient safety, possess strong clinical skills, and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, starting at 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); a minimum of 1 year of ER experience; located in the region.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, familiarity with Epic charting system, experience with behavioral health patients, and proficiency in managing common ER drips such as insulin, cardiac medications, and sedation.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within a designated region, with an additional compensation for floated hours not at the primary facility.
- Additional Information: The ER team manages a high patient volume, averaging approximately 66 patients per day. Staff will work within a comprehensive Stroke Center with the capability to treat STEMI patients and handle behavioral health cases. Travelers will partake in orientation and are encouraged to demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and respect.
