Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position is based at a nationally recognized academic medical center. This role involves providing acute patient care in one of the highest-volume emergency departments in the country. The position requires flexibility, including float coverage across departments, and offers an excellent opportunity to enhance a professional resume through diverse clinical experiences. The assignment duration is 16 weeks, beginning on 09/21/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour days, from 0700 to 1930, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, and variable days including weekends and holidays
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of emergency department RN experience; recent experience at an academic medical center or Level I/II trauma center in a major metropolitan area within the last 12 months; Florida RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission; certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC; no employment gaps greater than 30 days without explanation; recent EPIC experience listed in work history; minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last 12 months
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Additional Information: No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of any new assignment. Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed for a 13-week contract. Unplanned Time Off may require contract cancellation if shifts are not made up. Must be open to floating; flexibility is essential. Candidates are advised to review cardiac rhythms prior to start.
- Testing Requirements: All new RN hires must successfully complete a specialty-specific competency exam and an EKG exam including rhythm mapping and interpretation with a minimum score of 80%; 100% identification of lethal rhythms is required.
