Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia RN license accepted if in hand by the required start deadline
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Must have either 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience
• Experience caring for pediatric patients required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required; TNCC may be pending at submission but must be completed before start
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating staffing-based schedules
• Strong clinical judgment, triage skills, and the ability to perform well in a high-volume trauma environment
• BSN preferred

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Provide care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients
• Support treatment of trauma, stroke, chest pain, STEMI, and other emergency presentations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate timely patient care
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Respond effectively to changing patient acuity and department needs
• Float or adjust assignments within scope of practice as required
