Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse position located in Hopewell, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a 22-bed unit with a team of approximately 50 staff members. The position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a professional, patient-centered approach.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certifications. Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency care setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification, Meditech electronic medical record experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to the facility's Free-standing Emergency Department, approximately 15 minutes away.
- Additional Information: The ER handles a variety of procedures including cardioversion, central line placement, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKG interpretation, and protocols for stroke and sepsis. The team values energetic, professional candidates with excellent attendance, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
