Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Austin, Texas. This contract role offers an opportunity to work in a busy hospital environment providing critical patient care in the emergency department. The position involves night shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality emergency services and supporting trauma and acute care needs.

Job Details:

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Shift: Nights (12-hour shift)
  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Education credentials or degree requirements are aligned with RN licensure in Texas. Candidates should have at least 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MEDITECH electronic medical records system, trauma experience, inpatient experience, and certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
  • Additional Information: The role requires candidates with strong multitasking abilities, team-oriented attitude, and self-starter qualities. The unit utilizes equipment such as Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Familiarity with procedures including splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan-Lens, and resuscitation is preferred. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
