Assignment Details
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Shift: Primarily 8-hour days
- Typical Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Must remain flexible to assist on other shifts as needed
- Weekends: As needed
- Holidays: As needed
- Call: Required; rotates with other lead nurses
- Interview: TEAMS interview with Manager/Administrator
- Orientation: 8 hours unbillable
Facility
- 38-bed short-term and long-term care facility
- Setting: LTC / Geriatrics
- EMR: Matrix preferred
- Dress Code: Casual dress
Ratios
- Days: 1:20
- PM/Nights: 1:38
Required
- Active Minnesota RN license
- AHA BLS
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Associate Degree or nursing certificate minimum
- 2+ years of geriatric nursing experience
- Must be willing to provide direct floor coverage as needed
Preferred
- 2+ years in a Long-Term Care facility
- Previous DON, Nurse Manager, or Lead Nurse experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Matrix EMR experience
Important Role Expectation
This is a leadership position, but the DON must be comfortable working the floor and providing hands-on resident care when staffing or facility needs require it.
Compliance Note
Candidate must begin the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepting an offer, or within 24 hours for a quick start.
Guaranteed Hours Note: Guaranteed hours apply during the assignment, except where applicable during holidays when the unit is closed.
