Job Summary:
Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) Located in an acute care hospital setting, this role involves providing specialized inpatient dialysis care within a Level II Trauma center. The position offers a busy environment with an average daily census of 3-6 patients, primarily managing acute renal failure, acute kidney injury, and various dialysis procedures. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift, with a start date of 09/14/2026 and ending on 12/14/2026. Minimum hours per week: 40.0.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois (IL) license, minimum 1 year of experience in acute care inpatient dialysis, BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cerner charting system experience, community hospital experience, trauma Level I & II experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: This role involves direct patient care for patients with acute renal failure, employing skills such as vascular access cannulation, management of dialysis equipment (B. Braun Dialog+), and troubleshooting alarms. On-call duties are required as needed, with a 1-hour response time for emergent cases. The clinician will not be floating within scope but must adhere to department procedures and protocols. Orientation includes 36 hours of pre-assignment modules, with virtual orientation on day one, and strict compliance with system login and documentation deadlines. Candidates must ensure timely completion of background checks, licensure, and certification requirements prior to start.
