Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of direct nursing experience
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
• Cardiac nursing, perioperative nursing, or CVOR experience required
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Support cardiac surgical procedures with attention to safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care
• Assist in the Main OR when no cardiac case is scheduled
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members
• Participate in rotating call coverage for cardiac cases
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold operating room standards and protocols
• Deliver high-quality care while adapting to a fast-paced surgical environment
