• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Shifts Per Week: 4 shifts per week
• Schedule: Day shift, 06:00 - 16:30; day off varies
• Call Requirement: Required, approximately 9-10 days per month
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Setting: Cardiovascular operating room / surgical services
• Patient Population: Adult patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Arkansas or a compact state; license in hand required at submission
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and Nursys required with submission
• Cerner experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Ability to complete required compliance items and labs within required timeframes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a safety-sensitive healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• Prepare the operating room and maintain a sterile, efficient CVOR environment
• Assist physicians and surgical team members during cardiac and vascular procedures
• Administer medications and support safe, accurate perioperative nursing care
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Act as a patient advocate and promote excellent clinical outcomes
• Support documentation, charting, and procedural workflow in the clinical setting
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality care
