Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This position involves supporting a specialized cardiovascular surgical team in a cardiac, vascular, and thoracic operating environment. The role offers an opportunity to work in a facility with a dedicated team and state-of-the-art equipment, serving patients with complex cardiovascular needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have three or more years of experience in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic operating rooms. Valid certifications, relevant education or degrees, and previous experience in similar settings are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular cases, experience with Meditech electronic medical record system, punctuality, flexible scheduling, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Additional Information: The unit performs procedures such as CABG, valves, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, ECMO. Level 2 trauma coverage is provided for all vascular and thoracic procedures. Call requirement includes approximately one weekend per month and 2-3 days weekly. The team includes a small, longstanding staff with deep expertise. The hospital is situated on the seacoast of New Hampshire, about one hour north of Boston and one and a half hours south of the White Mountains.
