Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in San Jose, California, specializing in open heart procedures. This role involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment with a focus on cardiac surgeries such as CABG and valve repairs. The position offers rotating shifts and requires a team-oriented, adaptable, and professional approach to patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: 2425 Samaritan Drive, San Jose, CA 95124
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California RN license, BLS certification, 2 years of nursing experience, and heart surgery experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, experience with Robotics, Orthopedics, Eye, Gynecology, ENT, Plastics, Thoracic, and General surgeries is advantageous.
- Unit Information:
- 12 operating rooms
- Staffing includes 38 RNs (including charge nurses), 6 part-time RNs, 12 benefitted technicians, and 1 part-time technician
- Current staffing includes day, mid, and evening shifts with multiple teams
- Procedures: Neuro, Spine, Total Joint, Gastric Sleeves, Major General Surgery, ENT, Pediatric, Urology, Heart surgeries (CABG and Valve replacements)
- Equipment: Perioperative equipment
- EMR System: Meditech
- Personality Fit: Works in teams, flexible, personable
- Certifications: California RN license and BLS required; CNOR preferred
- Additional Information:
- May float to pre-operative area as needed
- Will rotate on-call shifts; details to be discussed during interview.
- Orientation and policies will be provided on site.
