What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations)
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years of CVOR experience.
- Core Requirements: Must have Main OR experience and a willingness to float to the Main OR.
- Preferred Skills: Candidates who also scrub and/or have Meditech EMR experience will be prioritized.
- License & Certifications: Active RN license and standard nursing credentials.
Clinical Details & Unit Overview
- Unit Setup: 12 suite OR total, with 2 dedicated CVOR suites.
- Staffing Ratios: 1:1 patient ratio. Day shift is typically staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs; night shift covers on-call hours.
- Procedures Performed: CABG, valve replacements, thoracic cases, and vascular surgeries.
- Charting System: Meditech EMR.
Scheduling & Unit Policies
- Weekends & Holidays: Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
- Dress Code / Parking:
- Scrub colors: Navy Blue for RNs, Caribbean Blue for clinical support, Black for radiology, Khaki for lab, and Ciel Blue for surgical staff.
- Free parking available anywhere except the ER parking lot.
