Job Details
- Setting: Cardiac catheterization lab / cardiovascular procedural unit
- Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Schedule: 4 scheduled 9-hour shifts (0730-1700 and 0930-1900), with on-call 2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
- Start Date: 9/8/2026
- End Date: 12/8/2026
- Location: Owensboro, KY 42303 — a welcoming western Kentucky community along the Ohio River, known for its friendly atmosphere, local dining, and easy access to outdoor recreation.
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required at time of submission
- RCIS certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of cath lab experience required
- EPIC charting experience required for RNs
- Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cath lab procedures preferred
- Ability to work scheduled on-call coverage and weekend rotations
- Must meet travel compliance requirements, including SSN, DOB, and required documentation
- 1-2 years of experience may be considered the minimum baseline for general RN roles; however, this position specifically requires 3 years of cath lab experience
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled cardiovascular nursing care in a high-acuity procedural environment
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, including scrub support when needed
- Monitor patients throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Respond to on-call needs and support weekend coverage as scheduled
- Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care in a high-performing clinical setting
