Specialty: RN – Cardiac ICU / CVICU / CICU
Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotation
Contract: 89 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
EMR: Epic
Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU | 1:3 in Stepdown
Requirements
- VA RN License or Compact RN License
- BLS & ACLS required
- 2+ years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience
- Recent hands-on competency with:
- VV/VA ECMO
- IABP
- TTM / Arctic Sun
- Impella
- CRRT
- PA Catheter Guided Therapy
- Strong experience managing and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips
Common Patient Populations
- Post-op CABG
- Heart & Lung Transplant
- Cardiogenic Shock
- Advanced Heart Failure
- Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Lysis
- Post IR/PCI Procedures
- TEVAR
Schedule & Other Details
- D/N rotation
- Every other weekend
- 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- 1 major winter holiday + 1 minor holiday as needed
- No on-call requirement
- First to float, primarily between CICU and CVICU
- May float to other ICUs, Stepdown/Progressive Care/IMC/Telemetry as needed
- Orientation: 2 shifts
- Epic access required
- Scrubs: Navy blue or solid white tops/pants; jackets navy blue or solid white
