Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular Nurse in a hospital setting near Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care for patients following cardiac procedures such as post-PCI and post-bypass surgeries, with a preference for candidates with open heart experience. The position is scheduled for overnight shifts and requires current Illinois licensure alongside ACLS and BLS certifications.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with a blocked weekend schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license; Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; 2 years of experience preferred, with a minimum of 0 years required.
- Additional Information: Attention: 4 hours of billable computer modules are required the Friday prior to start, delivered Monday-Tuesday of the week before. Unit notes specify the need for experience pulling sheaths and high likelihood of CRRT experience being highly preferred. Level 2 trauma experience or above is required. RNs are required to titrate drips and interpret strips on telemonitors, with tele monitor techs available for further support. The hospital employs 24/7 ICU/PCU coverage with Respiratory Therapy equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPAP.
