Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurses in the hospital setting are responsible for providing proficient clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Director, these professionals coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, especially for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, ensuring safety, education, and optimal outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing, one (1) year of recent Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit (CSICU) experience, licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA or ARC.

- Additional Information: Provides patient assessment involving data from complex situations to determine priorities for care, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. Collaborates with patients and families for discharge planning and prioritizes tasks for patients with complex problems. Demonstrates competence in care of patients with cardiovascular issues, performs bedside point of care testing as required, and participates in performance improvement activities.
