Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Critical Care/CCU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatric populations. The RN will work independently within established nursing standards while collaborating with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and collect relevant health data.
• Analyze assessment findings and identify appropriate nursing diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and IV solutions safely.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes to physicians.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the plan of care.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families dealing with serious illness.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation.
• Apply current professional nursing standards, policies, and regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement and LEAN process initiatives.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in complex and rapidly changing situations.
• Work effectively with frequent interruptions and unexpected situations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of prior Critical Care experience required.
• Current Massachusetts RN License.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• Nursing Diploma, ADN/ASN, or BSN accepted.
• Meditech experience preferred.
