🩺 Registered Nurse – Case Manager (RN Case Management / Utilization Review)
📍 Greensboro, NC
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 08/24/2026
Shift: Evenings – 5x8 Hour Shifts
• Monday through Friday
• Acute care hospital-based Case Management role
• EPIC documentation system utilized
🏥 Position Details
• RN Case Management & Utilization Review
• Acute care hospital setting
• Coordination of discharge planning and transition of care services
📋 Requirements
• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Experience with ICU, Medical-Surgical, PICU, Stepdown, PCU, IMC, and Observation patient populations required
• Previous Charge Nurse experience required
• EPIC experience required
• No first-time travelers

• Strong interdisciplinary care coordination experience
• Utilization review and regulatory compliance experience
🩺 Required Skills

• CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations and compliance
• Utilization management principles and documentation standards
🩺 Responsibilities
• Coordinate discharge planning for hospitalized patients across multiple specialties
• Perform comprehensive needs assessments and identify discharge barriers
• Arrange post-acute services, home care, rehabilitation, and DME as appropriate
• Conduct utilization review activities to support appropriate level of care and regulatory compliance
• Develop and update individualized plans of care
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers, patients, and families regarding discharge plans and resource needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
• Support safe transitions of care and reduction of avoidable readmissions
