• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or as needed by unit coverage
• Floating: Required to support appropriate units as part of the resource float team
• Charting: Recent EPIC experience within the last 2 years required
• Patient Population: Adult cardiac and progressive care patients requiring close monitoring

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry or cardiac stepdown RN experience required
• Current Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• AHA BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• NIHSS required prior to start
• Recent EPIC experience required within the past 2 years
• Strong comfort with cardiac monitoring, progressive care workflows, and acute care nursing
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and float as needed
• Reliable transportation recommended for this Plattsburgh, NY location

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac and medical complexity
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, insulin drips, and other ordered infusions per protocol
• Initiate IVs, perform venipuncture, and support post-cardiac catheterization care
• Care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hemodynamic instability
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Support stepdown and resource float team needs based on unit census and patient acuity
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols and standards of practice
