- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Float Areas: Same patient population support as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
- Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown nursing experience
- Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with ECG rhythm recognition, cardiac monitoring, and medication safety assessments preferred
- Must be available to work every other holiday
- One qualifying reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
- Ability to complete pre-start onboarding requirements and annual competency expectations
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac stepdown patients with complex and evolving needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient recovery
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
- Document patient care accurately and maintain strong clinical communication
- Support patient education, discharge readiness, and continuity of care
- Adapt to rotating shifts and occasional float assignments within the same patient population
