Travel Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Washington Township, NJ
Join a fast-paced travel nursing opportunity in Washington Township, New Jersey 08012. Located in Washington Township, NJ 08012, this on-site assignment places you in a community-based New Jersey setting while supporting adult patients in a cardiac stepdown and intermediate care unit. This 13-week Registered Nurse assignment offers the chance to care for complex cardiac, neuro, and respiratory patients in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Job Requirements
- Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license at the time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown RN experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
- Comfortable using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
- Ability to float to like units within scope
- Flu vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only
- Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory conditions
- Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient status quickly and accurately
- Titrate cardiac drips and support patients receiving medications such as Cardizem, Cardene, and Nitro
- Care for patients requiring high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, chronic trach/vent support, and close respiratory monitoring
- Manage complex therapies including peritoneal dialysis, IV protocols, ports, PICC lines, and central lines
- Support stroke, seizure, withdrawal, and other acute medical patients requiring stepdown-level care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, PT, and rapid response teams
- Float to similar units as needed while practicing safely within RN scope
