Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab registered nurse position in a healthcare facility located in Carlsbad. This role involves circulating cases, moderate sedation, preparing and administering medications, and monitoring cardiac procedures. The assignment is for a 13-week period with the potential for extension, starting on September 14, 2026, with a schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with call, floating, and holiday requirements.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support), minimum of 2 years of experience circulating and monitoring in cardiac procedures such as LHC (Left Heart Catheterization), RHC (Right Heart Catheterization), Tee's, cardioversions, peripherals, and other cardiac interventions; valid fingerprint clearance is required for all traveling nurses in New Mexico.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating in a cath lab setting, proficiency in moderate sedation, and familiarity with EMR systems including Xper, MedHost, and PACS.
- Additional Information: The role requires circulating cases, responsible for moderate sedation, preparing and administering medications, as well as monitoring and cleaning of the lab. No holidays will be considered for request time off. Floating may be required, typically as sitters. Scrub color is flexible. Patient ratio is 1:1.
