Interim Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Skilled Nursing Facility near Glendale, CA!

We currently have an opening for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Skilled Nursing facility in Rockville, MD. The ADON complements the DON in planning, developing, and supervising activities of clinical staff.

When you join the LeaderStat team as an interim ADON, you’ll be connected with a dedicated specialist before and during your assignment. They will work with you to coordinate onboarding, book and pay for travel arrangements, and assist with any questions along the way.

 

Job Duties

  • Assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing and developing nursing and direct care staff
  • Communicates with families, residents, and physicians as needed
  • Participates in creating resident care plans and ensuring they are followed
  • Conduct rounding as necessary
  • Prepares periodic reports and audits related to resident care service
  • Assists with interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as performance management and addressing complaints
  • Performs duties of the DON in their absence
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state or in an eligible Nurse Compact State
  • Two years of experience as a clinical supervisor or ADON in a long-term care setting
  • Ability to implement new policies, procedures, and programs related to acuity of residents
  • Demonstrated relationship building, including empowering others, conflict management and fostering an environment of trust
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures
  • Enthusiasm for working with seniors
  • People-oriented, adaptable communication style
  • Up-to-date clinical compliance
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR via American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Two-step TB test
  • Physical exam within the last 12 months
