Ambulatory Surgery RN
Position: RN – Ambulatory Surgery / Department of Surgery
Shift: Days – 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: 5x8s, Monday–Friday
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week
Age Group: 5 years and older
EMR: EPIC
Holidays: Every other major holiday
Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles; local rate applies
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in an ambulatory/outpatient surgical setting.
- Assess patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient condition and identify changes or complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with post-procedure recovery.
- Coordinate care with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team.
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC.
- Follow ambulatory surgery and patient-safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty/ambulatory nursing.
- Ambulatory, outpatient, clinic, or primary care experience may be considered.
- EPIC experience required.
- Active Massachusetts RN license required.
- BLS – AHA required.
- 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty.
- Matching specialty Skills Checklist required.
- Current RN license verification through Nursys required.
- Updated resume documenting relevant specialty experience.
- Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers accepted.
- RTO must be submitted at the time of submission.
- Flu vaccine required during flu season.
