Job Details
- Setting: Acute Care / Emergency Department
- Assignment Length: 27 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
- Schedule: Part-time day or night shifts as needed by the facility
- Shift Pattern: 2x12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Required
- Start Date: September 8, 2026

Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department or acute hospital experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Stroke certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred/required per unit standards
- Experience delivering care in urgent and emergent clinical situations
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Assess patients presenting with urgent or emergent needs and prioritize care appropriately
- Provide direct nursing care and implement interventions for a wide range of emergency conditions
- Perform and support invasive and non-invasive procedures as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Conduct triage assessments and identify the initial plan of care using established standards
- Monitor patient progress, reassess condition changes, and respond promptly to evolving needs
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation throughout the patient encounter
- Support a respectful, healing environment for patients and families
