Job Summary:
Vascular and Intravenous (IV) Access Registered Nurse (RN) - This opportunity is located in a short-term acute care facility. The RN will provide specialized vascular access and IV therapy services, including PICC line management and ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, to adult and geriatric patient populations. The position involves floating between units and requires adherence to clinical protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026 and ending on 12/14/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of clinical experience in vascular access, recent experience with adult inpatient care, proficiency with charting systems such as Epic, and minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical or vascular access specialties.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ultrasound-guided PIV insertions, vascular/bloodstream infection prevention, and having worked in a community hospital setting.
- Additional Information: The RN must be able to perform procedures such as dressing changes, device stabilization, patency assessments, and site assessments. Must be comfortable managing complications such as air embolism, phlebitis, or catheter dislodgment. The position involves frequent patient interactions and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, pharmacy, and radiology. Candidates should be flexible to work every other weekend and to commit to holiday coverage as specified.
