**Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurses - NICU (Day/Night Shift)** **Job Description:** - Join a dynamic and passionate team focused on delivering top-notch patient care through the nursing process. - Leverage your skills in assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. - Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients, ensuring adherence to nursing practice standards. - Collaborate with a diverse range of healthcare professionals to create a quality, cost-effective care environment. - Serve as a key resource in various situations requiring expert nursing knowledge. - Apply age-specific considerations and embrace cultural diversity while providing care from birth to elderly patients. - Uphold the mission of the organization while delivering compassionate healthcare. **Position Qualifications:** - **Minimum Education:** - Completed a nursing program from an NLN approved institution. - Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred. - **Minimum Experience:** - 1 – 2 years of recent OB experience preferred. - **License, Certification, Registration:** - Must be licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Alaska. - Current certifications: BLS, NRP, & Fetal Monitoring required. - National Certification in Obstetrics preferred. - Required to pass and maintain competencies for this position. - **Equipment/Tools:** - Proficient use of office equipment (computer, telephone, fax machine). - Familiarity with medical equipment including Fetal Monitor & Datascope. **Specialized Knowledge and Skills:** - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Ability to practice nursing according to Alaska RN regulations. - Flexible with work schedule and capable of independent decision-making. - Proficient in using the nursing process for patient care provision. - Capable of administering treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and educating patients/families. - Knowledge of AWHONN standards is essential. - Solid understanding of medical terminology and ability to work effectively in a patient care setting. **Mathematical and Reasoning Skills:** - Proficient in basic arithmetic and capable of complex calculations involving rates, ratios, and percents. - Ability to solve practical problems with various concrete variables. - Interpretation of diverse instructions through written, oral, or diagram formats. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with unit secretaries and OB Techs in partnership with the Charge Nurse. **Shift Information:** - 1 Day shift and 1 Night shift. **Minimum Years of Experience:** 2 **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
