Registered Nurse - NICU (Level III) - 12H Rotating Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
12-hour rotating shifts (mainly nights, days as needed). Floating to various departments is required, with every other weekend scheduled.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Responsibilities include floating to any newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, and attending deliveries, as well as supporting pediatrics/PICU with neonate assignments. This role requires flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of comprehensive nursing care to neonates and their families.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participation in procedures and care activities as required.
- Adherence to safety and best practices within the NICU environment.
- Documentation and maintenance of accurate patient records.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required.
- Experience in a large (500+ bed count) teaching facility preferred, or documented prior travel experience.
- Active AHA BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) systems within the last 2 years is mandatory.
