Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse - Night Shift - Location: Unknown. This position involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients with complex needs in a Level II NICU. The role requires clinical expertise in neonatal critical care and adherence to hospital protocols to support high-risk infants and their families.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 2 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), two years of experience with patient ratios of 2 patients per nurse during nights, proficiency with Epic charting system, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Level II NICU settings, community hospital experience, and charting system knowledge in Epic.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing infants with diagnoses including babies gestational age of 32 weeks and above, stabilization for transfer to higher level of care, and working with specialized equipment such as high flow CPAP, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), and UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter). The unit collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, social work, radiology, and pharmacy. Candidates must be flexible to work during assigned holidays and request all schedule or RTO considerations upfront. References covering at least one year are required, and prior work at similar facilities in the last three years is preferred.
