Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is located in Morristown, New Jersey. This role involves delivering specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level III or IV care setting. The nurse will perform comprehensive assessments, provide direct patient care, and support patient and family education within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 7 p.m. 7 a.m., minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; RN License required; BLS certification required; NRP certification required; 2 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Level III/IV neonatal care setting
- Preferred Qualifications: RNC-NIC certification
- Additional Information: This position involves supporting the completion of patient testing in a timely manner, evaluating pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness, and maintaining accurate documentation. The nurse will demonstrate proficiency in neonatal assessments, clinical skills, documentation standards, and safety protocols specific to neonatal care. Responsibilities include patient education, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and contributing to a collaborative unit environment.
