Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position is available in a healthcare organization. The role involves providing specialized neonatal patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The position requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, leadership, and clinical competence to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant experience and prior travel experience. All travel submissions must meet these criteria. No local candidates will be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior NICU experience is highly preferred.
- Additional Information: This position requires full accountability for patient care in the neonatal unit, including delegation and supervision of personnel, maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, and demonstrating leadership in care planning and delivery. All candidates must be able to work the specified shift hours and meet the experience criteria.
