Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position in Edmonds, WA. This role involves providing specialized care to infants in a Level II NICU setting, attending high-risk and normal deliveries, and managing neonatal procedures within a community hospital environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced NICU RNs seeking a night shift assignment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of neonatal ICU experience, valid compact state license, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience attending high-risk deliveries, managing ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), neonatal dosage calculations, placement/management of feeding tubes and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries, care for infants with CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, syringe pumps; handle Level II NICU admissions, normal newborns, and infants 32 weeks or greater gestation
- Additional Information: Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience and be able to work a minimum of 36 hours weekly on night shifts. Flexibility in floating between nearby facilities may be required. All shifts require a commitment to working three out of five designated holidays. Candidates must have a valid compact license and meet local radius requirements.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to prior work at a Providence facility, provide two references covering a 1-year period within the last three years, and confirm ability to adhere to the specified schedule and policies.
