Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the area. This position involves providing specialized care to unstable newborns, including those born at 32 weeks gestation or greater, with responsibilities covering all delivery high-risk deliveries and ongoing neonatal care. The role requires working night shifts and supporting infants through various procedures and clinical needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); valid license in the state or a compact license in hand at submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neonates between 29-34 weeks, breastfeeding support, handling of breast milk, isolation precautions, central line and umbilical artery/vein catheter care, UAC and UVC management, IV vasopressor administration, surfactants, steroids, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and oxygen delivery systems.
  • Additional Information:
    • Floating may be required to postpartum and labor & delivery units.
    • Attends all deliveries and high-risk deliveries.
    • Performs procedures such as breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, sedation, RSI, cooling/warming blankets, drains, feeding tubes, PICC/Central lines, syringe pumps, and more.
