Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting on a 3rd floor unit. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level 4 NICU environment, managing a variety of complex neonatal cases. The assignment is slated for 13 weeks, with shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including on-call requirements. The unit features advanced equipment, a team-oriented environment, and a focus on delivering high-quality neonatal care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of NICU experience including Level 4 NICU, and successful completion of applicable certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with additional neonatal care specialties or certifications are highly valued.
- Additional Information: The NICU unit has 65 beds, a staff of over 200 professionals, and uses Meditech and CPN electronic medical records systems. The team includes day and night shift staff, with permanent night and weekend shifts available. The unit emphasizes teamwork, positive attitude, and adaptability to change. Dress code requires navy scrubs, and the team adheres to unit policies and guidelines designed for optimal neonatal care.
