Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage required approximately half of the contract period. Float to ICU/IMC/Tele units as needed.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a 16-bed Neuro ICU with a daily census of 14 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Work with Epic charting system in a trauma-focused environment
- Orientation provided with modules completed onsite
- One pre-approved time off period available during contract
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Proficiency in Epic charting system required
- Skills required: blood product administration, ventilator management, central line care, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-craniotomy and neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury management
- Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
