Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Call: One on-call day per 6-week schedule
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Patient Census: Approximately 35 daily
• Unit Size: 38 beds
• Location: Brownwood, TX 76801

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg Tele, medical-surgical, or related acute care setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with charting systems required; Altera experience preferred
• Ability to care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and common acute care patient needs
• Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, attentive nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients on a night shift schedule
• Monitor telemetry data and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm and patient status
• Support patients with a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry-related conditions
• Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing standards
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support teams
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the charting system
• Participate in unit workflow, weekend rotation, and scheduled on-call coverage
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment focused on quality care, teamwork, and clinical excellence
